Sarah Lazow, A film Maker Par Excellence

The world of Hollywood is a Pandora's Box. Here, people have made fortunes with their exemplary fortitude. But, surviving or sustaining a successful business is no joke. Beating all challenges, trials, and tribulations, one lady who has worked through the rung to reach the pinnacle of success in Hollywood is Sarah Lazow.

The world of films, TV series, and the overall American entertainment industry is no bed of roses or a cakewalk. You need to work hard, really hard, toil it day and night to become a known face. Here, while many women have received fame and recognition because of their acting skills, donning a financier's cap is not a role common for women in Hollywood. Women directors are also known to have made it big here, but women producers and financers – very few. In the midst of all this, Sarah Lazow is an exception, though. She has always been like that – she loves the idea of treading the unknown path, being a front-runner, being a leader, inspiring others with her exemplary courage.

Sarah loved the world of Hollywood ever since she was a child. The dazzle of the camera, the lights, and the sound of a film shoot always allured her. She was fascinated by the world of movies and cinemas and geared herself for a career in Hollywood. Unlike her other female counterparts, Sarah wanted to lead by example – she had the desire to call the shots and be the wholesome in-charge of an entire film or TV series. That is how the idea of being a woman producer or financer came to her. She stuck to her aims and aspirations, and when she launched Marada Pictures, her production company, it was a dream come true.

She tasted success with her first movie as a film producer, The Weekend, written and directed by Canadian Stella Meghie from the 'Everything Everything' fame. The movie featured Sasheer Zamata as the central character Zadie Barber, Tone Bell, and DeWanda Wise. The movie premiered at the Toronto Film Festival in 2018 and was released in American theatres across the US a year later. The movie was well-received by critics and the audience, and Sarah was hailed for a good choice of script, star cast, and director. Later, in 2019 Marada Pictures was the executive producer of the TV Series 'V-Wars,' the TV Series' V-Wars' starring Ian Somerhalder on Netflix.

It is no mean success – a feat that deserves kudos from all angles. Sarah Lazow, the filmmaker, has had an extraordinary story – one that is inspiring and motivational for women of all ages. She has treaded an unconventional path; her journey has been riddled with painstaking efforts and struggles. She has faced innumerable challenges but overcame all of them with her true strength of character. Being a woman owner of a production company is a tough job, and Sarah has done an incredible job at it. Her zealous commitment towards her work and career is rousing and edges women to go all out to work hard to fulfill their dreams.
